Transmission
Towing can cause strain on your transmission as it works harder than normal to handle the extra weight and resistance. You can help manage this by maintaining the correct transmission fluid level and scheduling regular fluid changes.
Braked and Unbraked
Braked towing capacity is the maximum your vehicle can tow when the trailer has its own brakes. This capacity is higher than your vehicle’s unbraked towing capacity – when the trailer lacks its own brakes. A vehicle can tow heavier loads under control when the trailer can brake independently.

Your 2024 Ford F-150® is never really out of sight with Stolen Vehicle Services.* We’ll monitor your vehicle and notify you of unusual behaviour — and help with recovery if it’s stolen.
*Available feature. Stolen Vehicle Services requires FordPass® App (subject to FordPass Terms), modem activation, and a Connected Service plan. Equipped Ford vehicles come with a one-year Stolen Vehicle Services trial from New Vehicle Warranty start date, after which purchase is required. Customer activation required. Connected service and features depend on compatible network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. Factory Reset and Customer Connectivity Settings are disabled while Stolen Vehicle Services is active. Requires mobile device push notifications.
The Ford Security Package offers Theft Alerts through the FordPass app and Stolen Vehicle Services to help with recovery in case your truck is stolen. Available on 2025 F-150 and 2025 Super Duty.
